Week 3 Post

The 5 people that I have decided to follow:
First is Mr. president. As we known, Donald trump is well known as arguing with different kinds of people on Twitter. The benefits of following his twitter is first, I can learn more news about the US. Also, I can learn how he advertise himself on twitter. That can help me build my brand

Second, I want to follow Tim Cook, the CEO of apple. He is the CEO of the largest electronic company in the world. I find out that he really enjoy helping young people. He often goes to different college to talk with students. His personal image influences employees of Apple.

Third, I follow Kendall Jenner. She is one of my favorite celebrity. I can also learn how she advertises herself on social media.

 I also followed Raf Simons. He is my favourite designer.  He has his own fashion brand and the brand is really successful. He is an expert in building personal brand.

I followed Travis Scott. He is my favorite hip pop star. He is now the most popular hip pop icon in the US.  I can learn what young generation likes about him. That is helpful to build my personal brand.

There are a lot of strengths of using twitter. It is a good tool to do social media marketing because almost everyone has twitter. You can build communities on twitter to share your ideas and thoughts. Companies can use twitter to advertise for themselves.
The weakness is it is not a formal platform. People usually twitter for entertaining.

Week 5 blogger post

After learning the case study, I gained more knowledge about difference kinds of social media. The first lesson I learn is company in different area should do focus on different time zone.  The eastern time zone has the most percentage of the population which is 48%. The central time zone has 33% of the population. If you want to do business in the West coast, you should probably focus on pacific time zone. If you want to do business across the country, the eastern time zone is an important factor. The second lesson I learn is to choose the right time to send tweets. The best time to send tweets is at 5 pm. The way to measure it is CTR.  The best days to maximize CTR are midweek and weekend.  The third lesson I learn is to use different social media for different purpose.
