I participate in the Yahoo group.  I joined a group called NBA. It is a group for fan of basketball. I shared a recent news of NBA with the members. I also joined a group called yeezy. I like fashion, I join this group and shared a recent announcement of yeezy 500. I think Yahoo group is a little out dated. People do not participate a lot in groups.
The strength is you can share your opinions with people in specific area. In this way, your conversation is more efficient. The weakness is I think online group is a little bit behind now. People more likely to use media like facebook and twitter.

It is important to market yourself because marketing yourself is building your personal brand. You will have a lot of benefits if you build a brand of yourself. For example, if you have a strong personal brand, people are more likely to contact you and make friend with you. The process of marketing yourself also adds value to you. Week 5 blogger post

After learning the case study, I gained more knowledge about difference kinds of social media. The first lesson I learn is company in different area should do focus on different time zone.  The eastern time zone has the most percentage of the population which is 48%. The central time zone has 33% of the population. If you want to do business in the West coast, you should probably focus on pacific time zone. If you want to do business across the country, the eastern time zone is an important factor. The second lesson I learn is to choose the right time to send tweets. The best time to send tweets is at 5 pm. The way to measure it is CTR.  The best days to maximize CTR are midweek and weekend.  The third lesson I learn is to use different social media for different purpose.
